Prints made on regular photographic paper are available for purchase (they do not show the mark ``© pix2c.net''). Prints are sold for personal use only and not for commercial use without prior written permission. We use high quality equipment which means that in many cases prints up to a huge 20" x 30" size can be produced revealing excellent detail.
Prints will differ slightly from the image displayed on a monitor due to variations in brightness, contrast, colour characteristics, resolution and sharpness of different computer screens. Most images on this site have not been individually optimised due to the large number of images involved. Only simple automatic adjustments are applied and in most cases these enhance the images. For that reason images shown on screen should only be regarded as basic proofs. When you place an order we will try to improve upon the automatic adjustments by manual changes to contrast, brightness, saturation, white balance, etc...

Copies are the price for additional prints (same size or smaller size) of the same image. For example if you want an 8" x 12" print and a 4" x 6" print of the same photo, the cost would be as follows: 8" x 12" print $22; 4" x 6" print $3; NZ delivery $2.50; therefore the total cost would be $27.50. The ordering system will automatically calculate the charges for you.
Payment by cheque or direct credit (Internet banking) are accepted. Orders consisting of only 4" x 6" prints can usually be supplied within 5 business days. Orders containing 5" x 7" to 10" x 15" prints normally within 10 business days. If you need the prints fast, we can rush orders at an extra charge.
Photos on this site were shot with a camera with an Aspect Ratio (AR) of 1.5 which is the same as a regular 35 mm camera (the AR is the ratio of the longest side of an image to the shortest side). Some of the photos have been cropped to improve composition and therefore their AR may differ from the normal 1.5 ratio.
When choosing the size of prints you want to order you need to think about how you want the image printed on the paper if the AR of the print doesn't match that off the image. The two choices are:
As examples, for the images of the aeroplane and woman below, which both have an AR of 1.5, you could have them printed on 8" x 12" paper or 8" x 10" paper. The 8" x 12" paper has an AR of 1.5 which matches that of the image perfectly (therefore no image area or paper area is unused). However the AR of 8" x 10" paper is 1.25 which means that you'll need to sacrifice some of the paper (fit) or some of the image (crop).

Clearly in the case of the aeroplane above, cropping the image to 8" x 10" paper isn't such a good idea as important parts of the photo are cut off. If you really wanted it printed on 8" x 10" paper, then fitting would be a better choice.

Most images on this site are 600 x 400 pixels in dimension so only fill up about a quarter of most computer screens. For a small charge we can supply larger image files by email to fill your computer screen's dimension (e.g., 1024 x 768 pixels) for use as a desktop background picture or screen saver. Image files will discretely show the mark ``© pix2c.net''.
